Transporting a firearm while operating a snowmobile or “off road vehicle” is illegal in Indiana. It is allowed if the firearm is firmly contained, and unloaded or cannot be used by having a key lock trigger housing mechanism placed upon it. As long as one has a CCW permit they can bring a concealed gun with them hunting for self-defense.
