Overview for Oregon

Oregon allows citizens to buy guns in adjacent states (Washington, California, Nevada, and Idaho) and transport them back to Oregon. It is required to mail the police (state and local) a copy of the record on the day that the sale was made, in all cases.

It is illegal to remove, deface, or remove the serial or ID number on a gun. It will be assumed that the owner did this themselves.
