Does Wyoming Require a Background Check to purchase a Firearm?
Yes, Wyoming has a state law that requires a background check prior to the sale of a firearm.
Wyoming requires that any firearms dealer require a background check before purchasing a firearm. This state does allow private sales of firearms though, and these transactions between a buyer and a seller do not require the same background check. So if you buy from a private seller you are not required to pass a background check to be able to purchase a firearm.
