What disqualifies you from owning a firearm in Pennsylvania?
Someone in Pennsylvania is disqualified from owning a firearm if they are:
anyone who has been convicted of offense(s) enumerated in 18 Pa. Cons. Stat 6105(b) regardless of the length of the sentence or if it was a felony or misdemeanor
anyone who is a fugitive from justice
anyone convicted of an offense under the Controlled Substance, Drug, Device and Cosmetic Act of 1972 that may be punishable for over 2 years
anyone convicted of DUI (alcohol or controlled substance) on 3 or more separate occasions within the last 5 years
anyone adjudicated incompetent or who has been involuntarily committed to a mental institution for inpatient care/treatment
anyone who is not lawfully in the United States
anyone who is the subject of an active final protection from abuse order which required relinquishment of firearms
anyone adjudicated a juvenile delinquent if the conduct when committed by an adult would constitute an offense under 2502, 2503, 2702, 2703 (relating to assault by prisoner), 2704, 2901, 3121, 3123, 3301, 3502, 3701 and 3923 or the offenses enumerated in 18 Pa. Cons. Stat 6105(b)
anyone prohibited from possessing or acquiring a firearm under 18 U.S.C. 922(g)(9) (misdemeanor crime of domestic violence)
