Traveling with a Firearm in New Hampshire
The following rules apply to traveling with a firearm in New Hampshire:
- A person may have a loaded handgun in his car without needing a license
- Loaded rifles and shotguns are prohibited in a moving motor vehicle unless the person is keeping them with themselves for the protection of his or her crops and/or livestock
- Long guns carried in a recreational vehicle or a trailer and/or a snowmobile must be unloaded.
